No one knows Temagami like the Friends of Temagami. For almost 20 years, they have been maintaining and promoting canoe routes across the region. Their maps are the result of this unparalleled expertise.
100% of Friends of Temagami profits are devoted to Temagami conservation programs
Friends of Temagami is the only Temagami-area mapmaker who can say this. Whether it’s finding and restoring lost canoe routes, fighting to protect Temagami’s endangered old-growth pine forests, or working with the community partners on critical projects, they put your money to good use.
The map shows two categories of portages. Most travellers will be able to find and follow “In Use” Portages, though the trail quality may vary. “Other” Portages may be overgrown, destroyed by logging or other development, or they just don’t know — some will be passable, others will not.
